Timekeepers Gate Guarding Basic Information Regarding Gate Guarding

  • Must have RV
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
First Steps:

Paperwork and level II Security test must be done at the office in Boerne, Texas (test is open book consisting of 50 multiple choice questions).

Must obtain non-commissioned security license. (application is done from the Boerne office online and license is good for 2 years).

License fee is $58.00 per license and will need to be paid on-line to the State of Texas at time of application by auto draft from your checking account or by Credit/debit card. (Done at time of on-line application from the Boerne office)

You will have to bring your Driver’s License, or State ID card and one of the following: Social Security Card, Passport, or Birth Certificate.

You can work while waiting for your license as long as your application has been submitted to the State.

The State requires you to get your digital fingerprints done and sent with the application. The fee for fingerprinting is $9.95 plus tax each and is paid directly to the L1 facility doing the fingerprinting by check or money order. Please let us know if you would like this information.

We require that there be 2 people on a 24-hour gate available to work due to the possibility of working shifts. (Many of the gates are operated 24 hours during the drilling phase)

You will need to work out of your own RV.

We will need to know the size of your RV. (Some of the locations are small)
